Cereal Seed

In the fall of 2010 Sunshine Seeds purchased equipment to expand our business into the cereal seed treating and retailing business. The equipment includes hopper bottom bins, a batch weight hopper and a Graham G3 seed treating system. Feel welcome to come by and have a look. We are very excited about this investment because it allows us to offer customers anywhere near the Sunshine Seeds Ltd. facility access to certified cereal seed. It also gives us the opportunity to grow and market very high purity cereal seed on land that has typically spent 4 to 6 years in pedigreed forage seed production. As members of the SeCan® Seed Association we have access to many cereal varieties and plan to increase our offerings every year. For Spring 2013, Sunshine Seeds will be offering AC Carberry Hard Red Spring Wheat and CDC Austenson Feed Barley . Sunshine Seeds also has a limited supply of Fall Rye on hand which is available in bulk or in 25 kg bags.
